About the Association

Summer’s Grove is a community of 191 lots in the City of Alexandria, Virginia. Summer’s Grove Homeowners Association, Inc. is a Virginia nonstock corporation dating from 1996. It operates under its Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, and under the Virginia Property Owners’ Association Act.

Board of Directors

The association is run by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the owners. Directors serve staggered three-year terms. Board meetings are open to owners, and meeting dates are posted under Announcements.

Architectural review

Article V of the Declaration requires written approval before any exterior addition, change or alteration is made to a home or lot, including fences and walls. Approval has to come before work starts. The current ARB guidelines are on the Documents page.
